Sandbank Senior Citizens

by Eric Large, Vice President

Christmas has arrived at Sandbank village hall.  As members walked through the doors, they were greeted with a dazzling display of Christmas decorations from floor to ceiling, giving a warm festive feeling.
Our entertainer for the afternoon was Tony Collins, giving his first performance for the club, and what a show he gave.
He started with some well known Scottish songs such as "I Love a Lassie", "Come Along" and many more.
During his performance we all joined in and sang along to "Roll Out the Barrel".
He showed us how versatile he was as an all-round entertainer, telling jokes and showing off his footwork in his kilt, doing a dance from a well-known Gene Kelly movie, "Singing in the Rain", - what a hoot.
To finish off the second half of his programme Tony sang "Singing the Blues" and "Love Letters", along with a few more which we could all sing along with and make the start of the festive season go off with a bang.
